What's the difference between a cream, a lotion and an ointment?

Lotions are light and spread easily. Creams are thicker. Ointments are the richest and help hold moisture in, which suits very dry skin.

How often should I moisturise?

Apply after bathing and whenever your skin feels dry. Use a soap-free wash rather than soap, which can dry the skin.
