Tactee Kit | Grasping Tool
The Tactee® system is a set of assistive devices designed to restore autonomy and independence in daily activities of people with mono or bilateral functional grasping deficits that aims to improve their quality of life and ability to perform everyday tasks unassisted.
The Tactee® system returns functional autonomy and independence in different daily activities such as eating, drinking, writing, etc.; eliminating the caregiver and returning control to the individual.
When the grasping element is approached by a Tactee®, tool, the magnetic force attracts it and allows to having a firm grip without requiring the fingers fingers. At the same time its special design allows an easy release, permitting interchanging tools without any effort nor assistance, in total autonomy.
This kit includes a knife, fork anf spoon attachment, a multiadapter which can be used for toothbrushes, pencils or razors and a bottle adapter. This kit also includes additional padding to allow protection of the skin in individuals who are sensitive to pressure. This kit comes in a box which is portable and keeps your kit easy to access.
This project has been designed by a multidisciplinary team that has worked in collaboration with patients, caregivers and hospitals; with the aim of creating a product that meets the expectations of all parties involved.
