Choosing a probiotic

Strain: different strains (for example Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG or Saccharomyces boulardii) are studied for different uses, so check the strain on the label.
CFU count: colony-forming units show how many live organisms are in each dose.
Storage: some probiotics need refrigeration, others are shelf-stable.
Life stage: choose baby, kids, adult, pregnancy or 50+ formulas.
