Terms and Conditions

By supplying my eToken for electronic prescriptions, I hereby consent SuperPharmacyPlus processing my electronic prescription and contacting me for payment / delivery. I understand that due to the secure nature of electronic prescriptions, SuperPharmacyPlus is not receiving any secured information via this form, nor keeping a record of any personal data in any way that is not in compliance with the Electronic Prescriptions Privacy Policy.

What is an Electronic Prescription?

An electronic prescription is a prescription that is electronically generated and sent by your doctor to your mobile phone or computer. Your electronic prescription is used in the same way as a paper prescription and allows you to get medicines dispensed our pharmacy without having to send any paperwork to us.

How does an Electronic Prescription work?

  1. A patient attends the doctor and requires a prescription.
  2. If the patient chooses, an electronic prescription is provided.
  3. The patient receives an SMS or email message with a token from their doctor which they provide to their preferred pharmacy.
  4. The pharmacy scans the token to view the electronic prescription and supply the medicine.
  5. If the prescription has repeats, then a new token is provided to the patient via SMS or email by the pharmacy.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do Repeats work for Electronic Prescriptions?

When you have authorised repeats, we will will send you a new token for your next repeat. The Electronic Prescription process is then repeated when you next want your prescription medicine dispensed.

Can I still receive / use a Paper Prescription?

Yes. Nothing changes with the current Paper Prescription system, and we will still need the physical copy of that paperwork in our possession before we can dispense the medication. This is where we can see how much faster Electronic Prescriptions will be, with no more waiting for the paperwork to arrive in the post to us.

How safe & secure are Electronic Prescriptions?

Electronic Prescriptions must meet a high level of privacy and security. Your prescription is protected and cannot be accessed by anyone until it is unlocked at your pharmacy by the pharmacist when they scan your token. See Electronic Privacy Policy for more information.

How many times can a Token be used?

A Token can only be used once to dispense a single medication. A Token represents a single dispensing of a single medication. You will receive a token for each medication, and a new one upon each dispensing. Your pharmacy can verify which token has been used. Once you receive your medicine, you should delete the token used to get that medicine. Once a token has been used it is no longer valid.

What happens if I lose my Token?

If you lose your token, you will need to ask your doctor to cancel the Electronic Prescription and issue a new one. The doctor will send you a new token.

Can the Doctor send the Electronic Prescription directly to a pharmacy?

Yes, your doctor can upload an electronic prescription using our form. Alternatively they may send the prescription to [email protected]
