Name: Crateva magna (Varuna)

Description: Crateva magna is an important medicinal plant, native to India and Bangladesh it is widely used in India and sub-tropical and tropical parts of the world. Used in Ayurvedic medicine as far back as 3000 years ago, it has been used for a wide variety of health concerns in traditional medicine including bladder and urinary ailments. The leaves and fruit are both rich in active constituents while the rind of the fruit has been used as a fixative when dyeing fabrics. 

Name: Curcubita peposeed (Pumpkin Seed)

Description: Curcubita pepo is native to America, originating from north-eastern Mexico and Texas where it has been cultivated for thousands of years. Native Americans dried strips of the fruit and used them for weaving as well as a food source. The seeds are rich in essential highly unsaturated fatty acids, phytosterols, antioxidants and minerals such as iron, zinc, magnesium, not to mention many other nutrients.

Ancient healers such as Galen and Hippocrates used the plant for a range of uses such as seeds in a compress to assist with ailments. More modern uses include support for bladder health.

Name: Glycine maxseed (Soybean)

Description: Soybeans are a type of legume which are native to eastern Asia. Due to its vast range of uses it is one of the most versatile crops grown around the world and one of the most important global commodities.

Glycine max naturally contains a high concentration of isoflavones which are types of phytoestrogens, or plant oestrogens. Isoflavones have a similar structure to oestrogen, however their effects are much weaker. Records of soybeans being grown go back as far as 5000 years ago.

Soy and pumpkin seeds have been used in combination to relieve urinary frequency and support bladder health.

Name: Urtica dioica (Nettle)

Description: Urtica dioica, commonly known as Stinging Nettle or just Nettle, has been used medicinally since ancient times. 
Found growing worldwide, Nettle is particularly common in areas of Europe, North America and North Africa. 
Although commonly used in herbal medicine, Nettle can also be eaten or used as a herbal tea.
